Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel, which offers accommodations ranging from 3-star to luxury options. Kathmandu, situated at an elevation of 1,400 meters, presents a perfect blend of ancient heritage and vibrant culture. Depending on your arrival time, you will embark on a sightseeing tour of Boudhanath, one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world, followed by a visit to Pashupatinath, the most revered Hindu temple in Nepal, known for its sacred open cremation site along the Bagmati River. If you arrive late, the sightseeing will be rescheduled for the next day before your flight to Bhutan. Enjoy an overnight stay in Kathmandu.

After breakfast, a 40-minute drive takes you to Bhaktapur, an ancient city rich in Newari culture. Here, you will explore the UNESCO-listed Bhaktapur Durbar Square, which houses the iconic Nyatapola Temple, 55 Window Palace, Dattatreya Temple, and Pottery Square, where artisans showcase traditional pottery-making techniques. Later, you will visit Patan, another historic city renowned for its artistic heritage. Attractions in Patan include Patan Durbar Square, the Golden Temple, Patan Museum, and a local handicraft center. After a culturally enriching day, you will return to Kathmandu for an overnight stay.

Following breakfast, you will either take a 30-minute flight or embark on a scenic six-hour drive to Pokhara, a picturesque city at an elevation of 822 meters. Upon arrival, enjoy a leisurely stroll around the serene lakeside area, soaking in the natural beauty. Later, embark on a peaceful boat ride on Phewa Lake, where the reflection of the Annapurna and Machhapuchhre mountains enhances the picturesque scenery. Overnight stay in Pokhara.

Early in the morning, you will drive for about 30 minutes to Sarangkot, a famous hilltop viewpoint offering a breathtaking sunrise over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. After this spectacular experience, return to Pokhara for a full day of sightseeing. After breakfast, you will take either a 20-minute flight or a five-hour drive from Pokhara to Lumbini, the sacred birthplace of Lord Buddha, situated at an elevation of 150 meters. Your tour will include the Maya Devi Temple, which marks the exact birthplace of Buddha, the Ashoka Pillar, erected by Emperor Ashoka in the 3rd century BCE, the World Peace Pagoda, and the Eternal Peace Flame. A three-and-a-half-hour drive takes you from Lumbini to Chitwan, home to the renowned Chitwan National Park. Upon arrival at your hotel, enjoy a welcome lunch before heading out on a walking tour of a Tharu village, where you will experience the indigenous Tharu community’s unique lifestyle and traditions. In the evening, witness a mesmerizing sunset along the banks of the Rapti River. Overnight stay in Chitwan with all meals included.

Your Chitwan adventure begins with an early morning jungle walk, followed by a canoeing trip along the Rapti River, where you can spot crocodiles and various bird species. Next, visit the Elephant Breeding Center before embarking on either an elephant safari or a jeep safari to explore the park’s rich biodiversity, including one-horned rhinoceroses, Bengal tigers, and sloth bears. After breakfast, take either a 25-minute flight or a six-hour drive back to Kathmandu. This is also an excellent opportunity for last-minute shopping. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

You will be transferred to Kathmandu Airport for your flight to Paro, Bhutan. Upon arrival, you will be greeted and driven to Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital, located at an elevation of 2,200 meters. Sightseeing highlights include Changangkha Lhakhang, the colossal Buddha Dordenma Statue, and Tashichho Dzong, an impressive fortress housing Bhutan’s government offices and a monastic body. If you arrive on a weekend, you will also explore the vibrant Thimphu weekend market. Overnight stay in Thimphu with all meals included.

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Punakha via Dochu La Pass (3,100 meters), offering panoramic Himalayan views and a cluster of 108 memorial stupas. In Punakha, visit Chhimi Lhakhang, the Temple of Fertility, before exploring the majestic Punakha Dzong, an architectural masterpiece situated between two rivers. Conclude your visit with a walk across the Punakha Suspension Bridge before returning to Thimphu. Overnight stay in Thimphu with all meals included.

After breakfast, drive to Paro, the base for your hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), perched dramatically on a cliffside at 3,120 meters. The three-hour uphill trek rewards you with breathtaking views and a spiritual ambiance. After descending, visit Paro Dzong and stroll through the charming old town of Paro. If time permits, witness a traditional archery game before visiting the Paro Airport Bird’s Eye Viewpoint. Overnight stay in Paro with all meals included.

  • We have daily departures for this trip from March to May and from mid-September to mid-December. You can type in the number of passengers to book a reservation and select a date that is convenient for you. Due to group size, we never cancel a trip once you’ve made a reservation. If you would rather join the group, we will add more travelers on the selected date. You can let us know once you make a reservation or earlier.
